Station Descriptions
Station 1
This is the beginner station for children 5 and older who have never taken swim lessons and dislike putting their faces in the water.

Station 2
When you can do 10 relaxed bobs, you’re ready to learn to float!

Station 3
If you can float and glide on your front and back, then it’s time to learn kicking!

Station 4
You can kick 15 feet on your front and back. Now let’s add the arms!

Station 5
If you have learned the crawl stroke but need to work on breathing, this station is for you!

Station 6
When you have learned freestyle with proper breathing, you are ready for Station 6!

Stroke School (Stations 7-10)
Stroke School is designed for the swimmer who is looking for a longer, more challenging lesson. It's a great class to refine your strokes and build endurance. Stroke School is 40 minutes long, but costs the same as our 30-minute group lessons. To be placed in Stroke School children must be evaluated by a SwimAmerica staff or have already passed Station 6.
