Assists in preparing and implementing appropriate age specific activities for children 6-12. Activities include art projects, fitness fun, sports skills and a variety of cooperative games. The S.P.A.R.K. Aide is responsible for checking in and checking out each child in addition to supervising their participation in the program. | REPORTS TO: CHP Supervisor JOB OBJECTIVE: Conducts outpatient Motivational Mentoring/Coaching, nutrition education programs for staff, Summit members and the community at large. Facilitates the development of honoring and using the body’s intuitive intelligence to optimize personal physical health and wellness. Interacts with nurses and Dietitians, exercise professionals, and physicians as part of multidisciplinary team. The Motivational Mentor meets with each participant to assess personal needs and develops an individualized program which will be beneficial and realistic. The Motivational Mentor also assists in developing and maintaining class resources, scheduling of conference rooms, meeting set-up and marketing. Other tasks as assigned/requested. QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Bachelor of Science or Advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major emphasis on foods and nutrition and/or Social Work. 2.Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting highly desirable. 3.Current BLS certification required. | REPORTS TO:Aquatic Supervisor JOB OBJECTIVE: The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for providing safe and effective instruction in all levels of swimming and water safety. Ensures a safe and comfortable atmosphere in and around the lap and therapy pool areas at all times. The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for supervising evening and weekend open swims as well as swim lessons. Works closely with Aquatic Supervisor to provide appropriate staffing and class offerings. QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of two years experience as an aquatic instructor. Current water safety instructor certified, advanced lifesaving certificate and CPR certification required. Strong understanding of all pool operations/hygiene. Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field preferred. SCHEDULE:Variable, including evenings, weekends and holidays. The Aquatics Coordinator will be scheduled to work lifeguard and swim instructor shifts. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hospital based wellness center. Area is well lit and ventilated. | REPORTS TO: Custodian Coordinator / Operations Manager JOB OBJECTIVE: To keep all assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic by scouting, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, using germicides and damp dusting while working under close supervision. Performs minor equipment repairs. Provide assistance to all Summit departments as requested. Duties shall be performed in a manner consistent with “The Summit’s” mission. Performance of duties must sincerely and positively reflect consideration, concern and confidence when interacting with others. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Ability to understand written and oral instructions. 2. Basic arithmetic ability: Addition and subtraction 3. Knowledge of how to use cleaning equipment and devices, such as mops, vacuums, scrubbing and polishing machines preferred. 4. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 5. Current CPR/AED certification required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Performs all general housekeeping responsibilities. 2.Cleans assigned area as per daily cleaning procedure. 3.Keeps fitness equipment clean 4.Steps in and assists fellow staff when necessary. Works as part of a cohesive team to ensure that The Summit facility is always exceptionally clean for all facility uses. Takes pride in performing all job functions. 5.Performs all house keeping duties assigned. 6.Replaces disposable supplies such as soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, trash linens, etc. 7.Knows the proper housekeeping chemical to use, uses them appropriately and safely and is familiar with chemical MSDS sheets and emergency procedures. 8.Cleans locker rooms daily including the showers, walls, floors, sinks, bathroom stalls, using acid and non-acid based chemicals. 9.Cleans vents, lights, rafters and fixtures using ladders and/or man-lifts as needed. 10.Scrubs stairs and tiles as needed. 11.Operates and maintains auto scrubbers and vacuums. 12.Dumps trash 1x2 times per shift by lifting bag out of trash can and either carries or puts the trash on a cart and takes to outside garbage bin and disposes of it there. 13.Unloads stock as needed into cleaning storage room. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.May perform other job duties as needed. SCHEDULE: Includes working assigned weekends and holidays. Some variations to the regular schedule will be required as needed including overtime and filling in for absent employees. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works mostly indoors, but requires going in and out of building. Includes possible exposure to body fluids, diseases, soiled linen, infections, and handles cleaning chemicals and their accompanying odors. Works with and around hazardous materials. Hazardous materials inventory and MSDS available. Wears personal protective equipment as required. DRESS CODE: Professional appearance is required with appropriate footwear. Name badge will be worn and displayed as a part of the attire. It will be the responsibility of the individual employee to replace worn and soiled attire. No attire in need of repair will be worn. |
