Climbing Wall Schedule Definitions
Climbing Wall Rules
No bouldering or climbing by anyone except in a class, until a basic proficiency test is passed. All climbers must check in at the fitness desk. Register for all classes at the front desk. Belay test is $5.00 per person.
Open Climbing
This is climbing time for people 13 and older who have passed their belay proficiency test. A supervisor is on duty to assist and monitor. This privilege can be revoked for inappropriate or dangerous behavior.
Advanced Climbing
No supervisor is on duty: Climbers must be certified as "Advanced" by the climbing staff in order to use the wall and there is no lead climbing during these times. This privilege is granted to only those climbers who are deemed responsible and mature enough to climb unsupervised.
Kids Open Climbing
This time is set aside for kids 6-12 who are belay approved. Kids must be accompanied by an adult or sibling who is also belay approved. A staff supervisor is on hand to assist but not belay. Adults may climb during these times, but kids have first priority. Non-Members must be belay approved and pay a $12.00 use fee (includes equipment rental).
Adult Open Climbing
This time is for adults who are belay approved to use the wall. Equipment rental harness and climbing shoes are $5.00/person for members. Non-Member ages 13-17 who are belay approved may pay the day use fee of $12.00/person (includes equipment rental). Guests 17 & under who are belay approved must be accompanied by an adult member.
Hang Time
September - April. Would you like to try out the climbing wall? Our climbing staff ties you in and belays you. For members who have not tried the wall, this is a one time FREE offer. An adult must accompany ages 6-12. Non members ages 6-17 $9.00. Adults 18 and over $12.00. Climbers 17 and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Hang Time is offered Sundays from 12:00 to 4:00pm.
