Personal equipment is limited to goggles, hand paddles, fins and lifejackets and must be thoroughly cleaned before entering the water. Group Swim Group of 10 or more children and/or adults. Make reservations in advance to receive a group rate. Call 751-4165. Lane Lines Please allow 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end of each activity change over for our staff to install or remove lane lines. Lap Swim Members must be 13 or older, non-members must be 18 or older. Up to 6 people per lane and circle swimming is advised. Lap Swim During Classes and Open Swim When a class is taking place in the pool, lap swimmers who want to share the pool must seek the permission of the class instructor. The instructor will use his/her professional judgment as to whether or not this will be disruptive to the class. Some classes may have more than 25 participants necessitating the entire pool be used for class. If a lap swimmer is given permission to swim while a class is in session, he/she must stay to the outside of the pool (or even possibly only in the deep end or only in the shallow end) out of the way of the class participants. Lap lanes may be available during open swim depending on the number of swimmers in the pool. The lifeguard will use his/her professional judgment as to whether or not to put in lap lanes. Lap lanes will NOT be available when the inflatable toy is in use. The inflatable toy will be used during open swim on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Lap swimmers who want to be assured a lane should come during the many designated lap swim times listed in the pool schedule. Open Swim Open play time for children and adults. Children 6 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult (over 18). Water Walking Water walking and jogging is allowed during aquaerobics, basic water exercise, and open swim times. One lane is available during lap swim times. Please stay to one side of the lane to allow a lap swimmer to swim with you. Spa Waterfall The Spa Waterfall will be turned off during certain times so instructors in the pool can more effectively communicate with their classes. These times are during scheduled aquatic exercise classes and swim lessons. See schedule for days and times. Temperatures All of our pool water is carefully maintained by Certified Pool Operator staff. Temperatures, chemicals, pH, and overall quality measurements are taken many times a day. All pools are vacuumed nightly. Fresh water is continually circulating into the therapy pool, multi-use pool and the spa to maintain proper chemical balance. The Spa is 102 F - 104 F. The Therapy Pool is 91 F - 93 F. The Multi-Use Pool is 81 F - 83 F. Shower Before You Swim Showering with SOAP before entering the pools or spa by all patrons is required to ensure cleaner water! It's also a state regulation. Closing Procedure Clearing and closing of pools and spa is required 15 minutes prior to the closing of The Summit. Proposed Fall Schedule |
