What is Healthy Hearts

Healthy Hearts is a clinically supervised exercise and risk factor management /reduction program.



Who is Eligible

This program is designed for:
  • Individuals at high risk for heart disease who would benefit from a supervised exercise program.
  • Cardiac Rehab Graduates
  • Individuals with established heart disease
  • Participants MUST receive a physicians consent prior to entering the Healthy Hearts program.

A Typical Class Includes:

  • Warm-up & stretches
  • Individualized aerobic exercise prescriptions
  • Vital assessments & RPE during exercise
  • Resistance/strength training
  • Stretching/Flexibility assessment and instruction
  • Balance exercises




How Long Does the Program Last?

Each class is approximately one hour long. The program may be attended on a daily or monthly basis. However, you may choose to continue attending Healthy Hearts indefinitely.



How is Healthy Hearts Different From Other Exercise Classes?

Each participant is evaluated daily including:
  • A Blood pressure – (at onset OR end of each session )
  • Heart rate
  • Oxygen Saturation level
  • Symptom review
  • Risk factor Modification instruction and handouts
  • Exercise programming

Cardio-Mezzanine (directly behind The Summit Deli)



Cost

One-time Initial interview Fee: $40.00*

*Fee waived if recent graduate of CR Phase II program

Member: $1.00/class

Non-member: $5.00/class

Punchcards may be purchased.
