Diabetes Self-Management: Education and Exercise
Learn how to manage your newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes through diet and exercise. Class instruction includes: meal planning, blood glucose monitoring and control, preventing emergency situations, and how to start an effective exercise program. This program has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Medicare does pay for these classes. To register, contact the KRMC Diabetes Care Program at 751-5454.
S. T. A. R. Clinical Mentoring Program
The Step-Up To Active Rehab program functions as a bridge between medically supervised therapies and self-sufficiency. S.T.A.R. is for individuals with diagnosed medical problems requiring additional rehabilitation with or without supervision. Insurance pre-authorization is required.
