S. T. A. R. Clinical Mentoring Program

The Step-Up to Active Rehab (S.T.A.R.) program serves as a bridge between your medically supervised clinical therapy & independence. The program is for individuals with diagnosed medical problems that have recently completed medical treatment but require additional supervision. We work closely with the Physical Therapist & referring Physician to determine limitations & special considerations related to the client’s health. The fees of our program are dependent upon the length of membership prescribed and phase of therapeutic intervention.

How the Program Works
Our clinical staff educates the members on how the equipment operates, performing the prescribed exercises and most importantly, avoidance of a re-injury. With this knowledge and experience, the members are able to build a program based on their accomplishments and continue at their own pace on the days and times of their choice. Follow-up sessions are scheduled according to each client’s individual requirements.

Goals:
  • R.T.W. status - community re-entry
  • Medication
  • Subject Pain Complaints
  • Muscle Strength and Endurance
  • R.O.M.

Program Length
The initial program is typically for 1-3 months. Recommendations by the Clinical Exercise Specialist, Case Manager or Physician may authorize extensions within all phases that typically do not total more than 6 months. Attendance and adherence to the exercise program is mandatory.

Rates Per Month
Phase I: $191.00
Phase II: $104.00
Phase III: $86.00

Individuals who continue with a standard membership will have their initial fee waived once they have successfully completed their prescribed program.

A Program That Works
Participants have entered a clinical program at The Summit for a variety of conditions, injuries, surgical rehabilitation, and back problems are the most common.

In a recent survey, 70% of our clinical graduates stated that even a year after their clinical program ended:
  • Their quality of life had improved and
  • Their health was better
These outstanding results are from operating a program that is both medically based and scientifically sound.
